Our team gathers in the conference room, ready to dive into the details. We get a comprehensive inventory of their current furniture, noting everything from desks and chairs to filing cabinets and conference tables. The scope is extensive, but we're prepared.

Mid-Morning: Planning and Cost Analysis

With the inventory in hand, we move to the next phase: cost analysis. We need to account for several factors, including transport, labour, storage, refurbishment, and the redirection of any furniture we don't immediately need.

  1. Transport: Coordinating trucks and drivers to safely move the furniture.
  2. Labour: Our skilled team will handle disassembly, packing, and loading.
  3. Storage: Arranging space in our Avondale warehouse to accommodate the incoming items.
  4. Refurbishment: Estimating the time and materials needed to bring the furniture to like-new condition.
  5. Redirection: Identifying sustainable solutions for any excess furniture, including donations to local charities.

Once we compile the costs, we can make an offer to the client. Sometimes, the costs outweigh the value of the furniture. In these cases, we offer to take the furniture as payment for handling the entire process. Other times, the furniture holds more value, and we make a payment to the client.

Afternoon: Execution and Logistics

The offer is accepted, and our team springs into action. Coordination is key. Trucks are scheduled, teams are briefed, and our Logistics Manager maps out the route. At the time arranged, our well-trained crew is on-site, disassembling workstations and packing everything with care.

Our team takes pride in their efficiency and attention to detail. Every piece of furniture is handled with respect, ensuring it arrives at our warehouse in prime condition. As we load the last truck, the client's premises are left empty and ready for the next tenant.

Late Afternoon: Sorting and Refurbishment

Back at our Avondale warehouse, the real transformation begins. Furniture is carefully sorted and assessed. Items in excellent condition are prepped for immediate storage, while others are earmarked for refurbishment. Our skilled craftsmen breathe new life into worn pieces, ensuring they’re ready to shine in their next home.

We also set aside furniture for donation. Partnering with local charities, we make sure that nothing goes to waste. Pieces that don’t meet our refurbishment standards find new purpose in community organisations, extending their lifecycle and supporting those in need.

Evening: Reflecting on Impact

As the day winds down, the team gathers to reflect on the day's achievements. Every piece of furniture we save from the landfill and every office we help transition sustainably is a step toward a greener planet.
